Player feedback for youth sports
Talk through the game. Every player gets feedback.
Coaches talk through the game or practice — on a headset as it happens, or in a quick voice note after. Player Vector drafts each player’s notes, check-ins and parent updates, and nothing reaches a family until the coach approves it.

Talk it through
Record yourself as you coach, on a headset or your phone, or debrief afterwards in a quick voice note — the way you’d talk to an assistant coach. Mention players by name, or whole lines and groups. No forms.
Review the drafts
Player Vector matches what you said to your roster and drafts a note for each player. Anything unclear is flagged for you instead of guessed.
Publish what you choose
Keep notes coach-only or share them with families. Practice notes roll up into a periodic update for each family, and everything feeds the player’s check-ins.
Everything you need to see the whole program.
Recordings to player notes
A full session or a quick debrief becomes individual notes for each player, plus a session summary for your own records.
Simple or Full evaluations
Rate four areas in a minute, or every skill in the rubric. Regular check-ins show each player’s progress over the season.
Built around your sport
Sport-specific rubrics, positions and groupings — like hockey lines, goalie or libero evaluations, pitcher and catcher criteria, and stroke-by-stroke feedback for swimmers. Soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, baseball and swimming today, more on the way.
Parent summaries you approve
A warm, plain-language update for each family. You choose per team whether parents see scores or just the summary.
Rankings and development flags
Rank players by position or group. Flag who’s ready to move up or needs a check-in — AI suggests, your coaches decide.
Organization-wide oversight
Admins see every team, manage seasons, rosters and coaches, approve moves between teams, and review a full activity history.
Practice updates, not a flood
Practice notes stay with the coach and roll up into a periodic update for each family. Coaches can also write a separate parent version of any note.
Your rubric, your brand
Start from our sport defaults or build your own criteria, including keeper-, goalie- or libero-only skills. Parents see your organization’s name, logo and colours.
Made for the sideline
Add Quick Record to your home screen, record with no signal and it uploads later, or upload a voice memo you already recorded.
Real feedback, not just a score sheet.
Parents and guardians sign in with the email their organization has on file — we send a one-time code. They see their child’s coach-approved updates: what’s going well and one thing to work on at home. No app, no password.

You know the one. After a practice, a game, a weekend tournament or a meet, you ask how it went and get a “fine,” maybe a shrug. We didn’t want to push — we just wanted to understand. Were they having fun? Feeling more confident? Quietly struggling with something we couldn’t see from the sidelines?
We care about how our kids grow as athletes. But more than anything, we want them to love what they’re doing — to come home tired, proud and already excited for the next practice or game. And the small things, like a dip in confidence, a skill that won’t click or a kid who’s going a little quiet, are so much easier to help with when you notice them early.
The coaches see all of it. But they already give so much, and asking them to stay after every practice, game, tournament and meet to walk each of us through it, family after family, just isn’t fair. So we built the place we wished we had: coaches share what they already notice in a couple of minutes, and we get the full picture whenever we want it. Then we know when to cheer, how to help at home, and how to keep them loving it.
— From one sports family to another
What we wanted for our kids
- To know they’re enjoying it, not just getting better
- A clear view of how they’re growing, all season long
- Ways to help at home that actually make a difference
- A heads-up on challenges before they become setbacks
- All of it, without asking coaches to do more
What Canadian research says.
Kids love sport, then many leave it in their teens. Research points to the same things that keep them playing: enjoyment, steady encouragement, and adults who are on the same page.
Boys’ soccer registrations at U14–U18 are about half of U10–U13. For girls, the drop is a third.
Canada Soccer participation data, 2025Canadian girls aren’t playing sport by age 16, and dropout speeds up through the late teens.
Canadian Women & Sport, Rally Report 2024of Canadian kids in organized sport say they almost always or often have fun. The goal is keeping it that way.
Jumpstart State of Play Youth Report 2025Researchers including Nicholas Holt at the University of Alberta and Camilla Knight have described the coach–parent relationship as one of the most important parts of youth sport. Studies of parents and coaches find it’s built on open communication, transparency and trust.
That’s what Player Vector is for: regular, coach-approved feedback for every family, so parents and coaches stay on the same page all season.

Privacy and responsible AI: AI helps coaches write faster. It never decides, never publishes on its own, and never learns from your players.
Never used to train AI
Your recordings, notes and evaluations are used only to create your drafts. We don’t train AI on them, and our AI providers are set up so they don’t either.
Coaches decide what’s shared
Every AI draft is reviewed by a coach. Nothing reaches a family until a coach approves it.
No photos or video analyzed
AI works only from what the coach says. It never sees images or video of your players.
Stored in Canada
Player records, notes and evaluations are stored and served from Montréal.
Recordings deleted in 3 days
Kept briefly as a safety copy, then deleted automatically within 3 days — sooner if the coach deletes them.
Staff-only by default
Rankings and flags are never shown to parents, and every change staff make is recorded in an activity log.

Questions people ask us.
What is Player Vector?
Player Vector is player feedback and evaluation software for youth sports organizations. During or after a game or practice, a coach talks it through on a headset or their phone — a full-session recording or a quick voice note. Player Vector drafts a note for each player, and those notes build into evaluations, practice updates and plain-language parent summaries. The coach reviews and approves everything.
Which sports does Player Vector support?
Soccer, hockey, basketball, volleyball, baseball and swimming today, with more on the way. Each sport has its own rubrics, positions and groupings, like hockey lines and goalie evaluations.
Does Player Vector track swim times?
No. Your meet app already handles times and results. Player Vector covers the part times can’t explain: how each stroke, start, turn and underwater is coming along, from the coach’s point of view. Swimmers aren’t sorted into positions, and parent updates can point out which strokes are a swimmer’s strongest.
Where is Player Vector available?
Player Vector is available to youth sports organizations across Canada, with the exception of Quebec for now. If you’re in Quebec, we’d still love to hear from you.
Do parents have to pay, download an app or create an account?
No. Player Vector is paid for by the organization, and families never pay. Parents and guardians sign in with the email their organization has on file and a one-time code we send them. There’s no app to install and no password to remember.
What do parents and guardians see?
Coach-approved, plain-language updates: what’s going well and one clear thing to work on at home. Each team chooses whether parents see scores or just the summary. Rankings and development flags are staff-only and never shown to parents.
Does the AI decide anything or publish on its own?
No. AI drafts notes and summaries to save coaches time, but every draft is reviewed by a coach, and nothing reaches a family until a coach approves it. If a voice note is unclear about which player was meant, it’s flagged for the coach instead of guessed.
Where is player data stored, and is it used to train AI?
Player records, notes and evaluations are stored and served from Montréal, Canada. AI drafting, speech-to-text and email go through service providers in the United States. Your data is never used to train AI, and our AI providers are set up so they don’t train on it either. No photos or video of players are analyzed, and coach voice recordings are deleted within 3 days.
How much does Player Vector cost?
Organizations pay one yearly subscription for the whole organization, and families never pay. While we welcome founding organizations, pricing is quoted per organization. Founding organizations get a free 4-month pilot for one team of up to 25 players (no credit card, never charged automatically) and get an introductory discount on their first term.
What devices does Player Vector work on?
Player Vector runs in a web browser on phones and computers. Coaches record voice notes from their phone, and parents open their updates the same way.
